Hello Rescue Community,

Thank you to PACC911 for sharing this opportunity! We’re proud to be part of this incredible community and thrilled to share the details of our Rescue Partner Program. We have a goal of providing $100k in free veterinary services to rescues throughout the valley by the end of this year!

I’m Dr. Rory Lubold, veterinarian and founder of Northern Regional Veterinary Hospital (NRVH) in central Phoenix and we opened in April of this year. NRVH is a full-service general practice and urgent care hospital open to the public, six days a week, with a deep commitment to our community through rescue partnerships and donations.

We are fully equipped for:

All major soft tissue surgeries (fixed, fair pricing)

Dentistry (including radiographs and surgical extractions)

Management of complex medical cases

Wound care

Behavioral medicine – staff trained in behavioral medicine, offering consults and training

Eliminating Financial Euthanasia - we are committed to eliminating financial euthanasia in Phoenix and help provide many options for care!

In addition to our daily private practice services for clients, we run a comprehensive rescue program that reflects our mission as a B-Corp, a company which exists primarily for the benefit of the community. And within 6–12 months, NRVH will expand into a not-for-profit 24/7 emergency hospital, offering fair pricing for all, with rescue partner benefits extending to emergency services as well.

We’re also happy to discuss custom pre-adoption packages tailored for your rescue, which can include specific bloodwork, sterilization, dentistry, and more.

Summer Special – Join by September 15, 2025

  •  Free exams for life for all rescue-owned pets who receive any treatment or diagnostic at NRVH with the visit

  • $40 credit for every new client you refer who tells us they were referred by your rescue

  • Affordable medications and treatments

  • Discounted dentals – Flat-rate Cats $400 / Dogs $450 (includes basic bloodwork, cleaning, and x-rays of suspect teeth)

  • Discounted custom bloodwork for pre-adoption screening, Valley Fever, etc.

  • Behavioral consults with our veterinarian + behavior-specialty technician

  • Guaranteed same-day sick appointments for rescue pets whenever we’re open.

How to qualify:

  1. Register your rescue with our form (501(c)(3) status required). You'll also get a comprehensive price list after filling out the form.

  2. Announce and celebrate your NRVH partnership with your members, fosters, adopters, and volunteer list so they know about our services and referral program. We are committed to providing free services for rescues and your support to help raise awareness allows us to do even more. We have a custom announcement verbiage to share.

  3. Send us at least one rescue-owned pet for an appointment before September 15 to activate your account. Once active, every referred new client who tells us they were referred by your rescue earns you a $40 credit with us. We will run seasonal specials with opportunities to donate more to individual rescues!

Rescues who continue to share our partnership with their audience of supporters will maintain free exams for all rescue-owned pets—forever.

We’re here to support your mission in any way we can—whether that means attending your events, speaking at meetings, or providing veterinary expertise when you need it most. This is a true partnership: we want to give away free care as much as we can because we believe in your work and the animals you protect. Help us to donate $100k in free services this year and help eliminate financial euthanasia! Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or new ways we can help!

June and her new person
June and her new person

Robert Davidson just adopted June! Robert has had a career in the service from Vietnam to Desert Storm and many of those years he had a k9 partner that was always a rottweiler. He also worked border patrol with rottweiler checking for drugs and bombs. So he has extensive knowledge that he is very happy to share with June. June needs training more than anything. She resisted him as he took her leash, trying to bolt. She even turned and went to bite the leash and snagged her tooth on his finger. As I apologized and bandaged him up, he didn’t even finch or give a second thought to taking her home. After an hour he was getting kisses on his face!!! He is exactly what she needed!

Their bond - perfectly captured...

Banjo and Mila together again  This past weekend was a busy one for Rotten Rottie Rescue and one that reminded us exactly why we do what we do.

Banjo, a sweet but scared Rottweiler, landed on the euthanasia list at Maricopa County Animal Care & Control. We knew we had to act fast. Without hesitation, we committed to bringing him into our rescue and immediately started working to find the perfect foster home. Banjo had been found as a stray, along with two female Rottweilers. The three were clearly bonded. While many dogs adjust to separation, we felt strongly that Banjo would have a much better chance at overcoming his fear if he could stay with his pack. Finding a home for three Rottweilers together is no easy task but just as we were trying to figure out placement, a kind member of the community adopted one of the females. That left us with Banjo and his closest companion, Mila, still needing a safe place to land.

Thankfully, our amazing foster, Jeff Martinez, stepped up and offered to take both Banjo and Mila. We notified the shelter, and the plan was set in motion. Mila arrived first, and just a few hours later, Banjo was brought to the rescue by Valerie. Their reunion was incredibly emotional. They spent time sniffing each other, nubs wagging, you could literally see the fear start to melt away. That evening, Shelly transported them to their foster home where they are now safe, loved, and thriving. We’re so grateful we were able to keep these two together and give them a shot at the life they’ve always deserved.

A special thank you to Jeff Matinez for opening his heart and his home to help us save these two amazing Rottweilers!

We can’t do this without foster homes. Fosters make it possible for us to rescue rotties in need. If you have ever considered fostering, please head to our website to learn more about fostering with us and complete our foster questionnaire!
